Hoefkens & Hannah picked out for Stylus

Hannah and Kester's work has been picked out from amongst all the shows at London Design Festival... not just once but twice!

Stylus is a trend forecasting company that analyses how Consumer Lifestyle trends impact Product Design and  across industries.

The Dungeness Desk and Shelves have picked out and featured in a report on the best seating, tables, storage and upholstery on show from big brands and emerging talent.

Here is what was said about the Dungeness Desk:

TABLES
Playful but safe: coloured legs are paired with neutral tabletops.
Functional additions were prevalent, particularly in desks... the frame of a desk by London duo Hoefkens & Hannah becomes a handy noticeboard.

It is a great honour to be mentioned along side established and other emerging talent such as:
Established & Sons,
Wrong for Hay,
Donald Judd at the Conran Shop
Roel Huisman
Mint
Bethan Laura Wood at Aram Gallery
Habitat
Ercol
Eleanor Pritchard

Hannah and Kester are immensely proud of their work and all the effort that they put into the Dungeness show and are incredibly grateful to have had such a great response to their work from everyone who visited the show.

The show must go on...

Well the Hoefkens and Hannah : Dungeness show at Studio1.1 has now finished but the work continues.

The Private View Opening was a great success with a huge number of people coming through the doors.
There was a great response to our designs and over the following week of the show we received more praise for our work, with designers and trend forecasters showing particular interest.

Hannah and Kester both sold items directly during the show and made good contacts with retailers and producers, they also had designers approach them with an eye on future collaborations.

Dungeness Desk and Magnet Board

This desk is the second bit of furniture that Kester and Hannah collaborated on after the daybed. Hannah's beautiful illustration of the bright orange lichens found at Dungeness adorn the intergrated magnetic notice board.  Insect magnets were made specially for this piece as well.  The desk is made from limed Ash with a powder coated steel frame. This desk houses four soft close drawers
